Project 17.1
Operations Task Force – Year 10
North/West Passage has supported an Operations Task Force since 2013. The intent of the task force is to establish relationships, enhance the scope of operations-oriented projects, support further implementation of project findings, and increase interaction among the states outside of major events. This project is continuing to support the task force for another year (September 2022 - August 2023). Tasks include coordinating and facilitating operations-oriented, maintenance operations, and Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) related topics for discussion during task force webinars.

| June 2023 | The Task Force held a webinar on June 21, 2023 to discuss physical and cyber security of field devices in a round robin format. |
| May 2023 | On May 17, 2023 the Task Force in a round robin format highlighted events from the 2022-2023 winter and flood season. |
| March 2023 | During the March 15, 2023 Task Force webinar, North Dakota DOT provided an update on their TMC Planning Grant. |
| February 2023 | The Task Force discussed project ideas to submit for consideration for Work Plan 18 during the February 15, 2023 webinar. |
| January 2023 | On January 18, 2023 the Task Force members discussed approaches for alerting travelers of snowplows or maintenance vehicles ahead in a round robin format. |
| December 2022 | Wyoming DOT, Montana DOT, Minnesota DOT, and Washington DOT shared how they measure the effectiveness of their Transportation Management Centers (TMCs) during the December 7, 2023 webinar. |
| November 2022 | The November 2, 2022 webinar included a presentation from Mike Warren, Montana DOT, on the 2022 Montana Flood.

| September 2022 | The Task Force updated their membership list and planned meeting topics for the year during a webinar on September 21, 2022. |
